Christine Arbe
Program Manager
I was born and raised in Marsabit County, Kenya, in the Chalbi Desert, where education for girls isn’t always a priority. As the firstborn and only girl in my family, I faced many challenges but was determined to succeed. I completed my studies despite societal and cultural barriers, such as tribal conflicts, FGM, and early marriage, which I strongly oppose. I’m passionate about creating a positive environment for future generations, free from abuse, neglect & denied human rights & opportunity.
I’ve always wanted to prove that despite my circumstances, education can break the cycle of poverty, which is why I love my role as I do exactly that for children like me, every day."
With a passion for education and children, with strong organizational capacity and a Degree in Sociology, Christine manages ground operations including students, guardians and partners. She is a previous Heshima student.
