Annet is a brilliant, focused and determined girl.
She refuses to be moulded to fit the status quo of being a girl in her village and follow suit:
to drop out of primary school, be married off, submit to a husband she doesn’t love, and have as many children as he wants her to have.
​
Her father has a heavy addiction to Changaa (100% alcohol).
Despite being wonderful, her mother is very sick with an undiagnosed condition.
​
Annet’s mind is 100% invested in her school books and there is NO stopping her.
Her drive to write her own story is unparalleled.
